POSTING PICTURES OF BOSTON EVERY DAY
A generous runner offered this frozen volunteer his spare gloves and another gave me her spare hand warmers. The early morning was freezing and it made my day. I had a wonderful time volunteering, all the runners were fantastic, and I will absolutely apply to volunteer again next year!

Newbury street was crazy busy and they were inspecting everybody’s bags. I had to get my bag inspected to get my coffee.

Some of the bus drivers decorated the buses that took the runners to the starting line.

This is getting a little out of hand.

I don’t really know what to say today.

A year ago, I went to the finish line to see the elite runners, stuck around for a few hours, got a bite to eat, and went back to work.

I feel like I should post something else today. Something from today’s tribute, or just a picture of the old finish line. But I didn’t take any pictures of the impromptu memorials, the finish line, or the police barriers. I only have pictures and videos of the crowd cheering runners through those last few blocks.

I went to Boylston today to pay my respects, because that’s about all I can do. Pay my respects and give my thanks.
